HomePassword Management

Your password is only as strong as the worst site you used it on.

A private encrypted vault, a different password for every account, and a warning the moment one of your passwords turns up in a breach.

$99per year, per person
The problem

Nobody reuses passwords because they don't understand the risk.

They reuse passwords because the alternative is memorizing sixty of them.

So one password gets used in a few places, or a base password gets a number stuck on the end. It works fine until a website you signed up for years ago and forgot about gets breached — a forum, a shop, a service that no longer exists. That breach becomes a list. The list gets traded. And then software works through the list, trying that email and password against banks, email providers, and shopping sites, at machine speed.

That attack doesn't care how good your antivirus is. Nothing was installed on your computer. Somebody simply logged in as you, with your password, because it was correct.

Email is the one that hurts most, because email is the reset button for everything else.

What we install

Keeper Business Plus

A password manager built for organizations, set up for you.

Every account gets its own long, random password that you never have to know. They live encrypted in your vault, and they fill themselves in on the devices you use — computer, phone, tablet. You remember one master password and nothing else.

The point is not convenience, although it is more convenient. The point is that a breach at one site stops being a breach everywhere, because no two accounts share a password.

BreachWatch — dark web monitoring, included

BreachWatch is Keeper's dark web monitoring, and it works on the passwords themselves rather than on an email address. It runs continuously against a database of billions of credentials stolen in breaches, and checks every password stored in your vault against it.

If one of yours turns up in that data, you're told straight away and the record is flagged, so you can change that password before somebody works their way down the list to you.

It does this without ever exposing your passwords — Keeper compares them in a form it cannot read. It watches what's in your vault, so it only protects the accounts you actually keep there.

How it's sold

One vault per person. This matters.

A seat is one vault, and it installs on as many of your own devices as you like. But a seat is not a household.

If two people share a seat, they share the vault — and a vault is not a folder you can partition. Every password in it is visible to everyone using it, including the ones that were never meant to be joint: the private email, the medical portal, the account from before you met.

It also gets awkward in practice. Change the master password and you've changed it for everybody. Someone leaves, or a relationship changes, and there is no clean way to take your own accounts back out.

That's why family members get their own: $79 a year each after the first. Separate vaults mean each person's accounts stay their own — shared where you want them shared, private where you don't.

A family of three

First person $99
Second person $79
Third person $79
Per year $257

Three private vaults, every password in each of them watched by BreachWatch. Each person's devices are unlimited.

The comparison

Why not the one built into your browser?

Browser password storage is better than a notebook and better than reusing one password. If it's what you have, keep using it. Here's where it runs out.

It's tied to that browser

Which doesn't help with the app on your phone, or the program on your desktop that isn't a browser.

It only holds logins

There's nowhere to put recovery codes, license keys, the answers to security questions, or a scan of your passport.

It isn't watching for leaks

Browser storage generally won't tell you that the credentials in it have already turned up in someone else's breach.

It's unlocked whenever your computer is

Convenient right up until someone else is sitting at your computer.

We set it up. Learning it is on you.

We install Keeper, create your vault, and get you signed in and working. What we don't do is train you on it. Training isn't included, and we'd rather say so now than have you assume otherwise.

That sounds worse than it is, because Keeper already made the lessons. Keeper 101 is their own tutorial series on YouTube — short videos, most only a few minutes long, covering everything from your first login to sharing a password safely. Watch a few before your setup session and you'll start well ahead of where most people do.
